A technical, customer-facing role with Arqiva, global Leader in Communications Infrastructure
As a Network Operator, you’ll be responsible for monitoring the status and performance of operational systems and ancillary equipment, taking corrective action as required, in addition to acting as the main technical point of contact with customers. The role will involve accepting, acknowledging and responding to transmitter alarm status and initiating controls, communicating fault conditions to field staff, customers and service suppliers. As well as monitoring programme sound and vision, grading quality in association with programme companies, you’ll also:
• produce regular reports
• handle general enquiries
• keep up-to-date with technical and radio and TV industry developments.
With at least a BTEC National level qualification in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, or with knowledge to an equivalent level, you must have a proven track record working in an operational or technical environment, ideally involving IT/network management/SCADA systems. With strong customer focus, a good telephone manner and the ability to work under pressure using your own initiative, you’re comfortable operating within a small group. Your aptitude and competence in VDU and similar operations complements your ability to prepare clear and concise fault reports using MS Office You can also offer:
• an interest in working in a control room environment
• a full, valid UK driving licence
