Study the key design aspects of a modern wireless and radio engineering, cellular networks and advanced wireless technologies.
You do not need to be a graduate to attend and attain the certificate on this course.
Your previous training, knowledge and work experience in a tchnical role within your military service is recognised by the University of Wolverhampton through the ‘Recognition of Prior Learning’ (RPL) board as meeting the requirements to attend our PG Certificate.
Examples of the trade groups that are eligible to complete the course are as follows:
- Electronic Warfare Systems Operator
- Installation Technician
- Communications Systems Operator
- Communications Systems Engineer
- ICT Technician

The course consists of three classroom modules, each of one week duration
- Module 1 – Radio Frequency (RF) Engineering 7CS005
- Module 2 – Design and Implementation of Cellular Networks 7CS004
- Module 3 – Advanced Wireless Technologies 7CS003
The training is mainly theory based with practical sessions utilising state of the art wireless equipment and also includes industry visits, where possible. You must attend all three modules and after completion you will be required to write three assignments of 4,000-6,000 words on a subject of your choice that has been covered in the classroom. You have six months to complete these assignments.
Level 7 Post Graduate Certificate in Wireless Communications, accredited by the University of Wolverhampton.
